The PDF/XML Developer's Kit contains
a Java code library, sample files in PDF and XML formats, and
technical documentation. PDF documents are compatible with all
Windows operating systems as well as Linux, Unix and Macintosh.

Placeable Metafiles Metafiles are an easy and efficient way to use Nelco's government-compliant electronic form files in your Windows application. Nelco offers both 16-bit and 32-bit metafiles.

- Metafile Developer's Kit
Nelco's Metafile Software Developer's Kit demonstrates the power and versatility of metafiles and provides you with a starting point to integrate metafiles into your application. The Metafile SDK contains sample programming code, sample form and field format files, fonts, and technical documentation.
Sample code is available in the following formats:
The Developer's Kit will be downloaded to you as a zipped file. Once the file is stored on your computer and unzipped, a folder called Nelco Metafile SDK is created. Within this folder, the following folders are set up:
- MetaDemo_CSharp (C# metafile sample code and executable)
- MetaDemo_VB6 (Visual Basic 6.0 sample code and executable)
- DOCS (Metafile technical documentation in PDF format)
- FORMS (sample files in the following formats: 16-bit placeable metafiles, 32-bit enhanced metafiles, PCL files, and Field Format files)
- TTF (Nelco TrueType Font Set)
- NELSOFT (Nelco Hewlett-Packard format soft fonts)

PCL Files have long been the industry standard
for printing high-quality forms on Hewlett-Packard LaserJet
printers. Nelco's PCL Developer's Kit includes sample PCL files,
Field Format (.FLE) files, and the Nelco Soft Tax Font set,
as well as documentation.

Kit
Nelco's PCL Software Developer's Kit contains sample PCL files, field format files, Nelco Soft Fonts and technical documentation. The Developer's Kit will be downloaded to you as a zipped file. Once the file is stored on your computer and unzipped, the following folders are created.
- PCL Forms (sample forms in PCL format)
- DOCS (technical documentation)
- Field Format (sample Field Format (.FLE) files, and Field Format Report Program)
- NELSOFT (Nelco Hewlett-Packard format soft fonts. Note that these fonts must be downloaded to your printer prior to printing PCL forms.)

| Field Format (.FLE)
files define the row and column coordinates for all fields on
a form. The Field Format Report program prints a report of all
fields defined in the FLE file.

TrueType fonts are used to display and
print our metafiles.

Font Set
Nelco's TrueType fonts are used to display and print Nelco's metafiles. The fonts will be delivered to you as a zipped file. Once the file is stored on your computer and unzipped, a TTF directory will be set up containing the individual TrueType font files. These fonts must be installed in Windows using the Control Panel. Installation instructions are included.

Soft Fonts are used to print
our PCL files.

Soft Tax Font Set
Nelco's Soft Fonts are used to print Nelco's PCL files. The fonts will be delivered to you as a zipped file. Once the file is stored on your computer and unzipped, a directory called Nelco Soft Fonts will be created containing the individual soft font files. These fonts must be downloaded to your printer using the install routine. Instructions are included.
